I bought this in the extremely long length, and I initially was thinking I maybe made a mistake that it was too long. For context, I'm 6'2" and well built. After some use though it's become probably my favorite camera strap. Having my camera supported by my shoulder and hanging from my hip is more comfortable than around my neck for longer shoots.
I do a lot of birding, and the longer strap is nice then when I'm also carrying binoculars. This strap also allows me to use it with a monopod without it interfering with my range of motion, and I never have to worry about losing control and having everything hit the ground. This is also going to be nice once I have to start wearing a winter coat.
The only thing I wish I did different was just order it with the peak design connectors, but I otherwise can highly recommend this strap and at the extremely long length. Probably size down if you're shorter and more petite.
Trust it never to fail
I trust these leashes, never worry about a break, unclip etc. I use a shorter version for canicross.
The rope has a good weight and feel and unlike other ropes, under extreme rare circumstances, doesn’t leave you with friction burns.
